What is Vibroacoustic Therapy?
Vibroacoustic therapy (VAT) is a form of sound healing that uses vibrations, typically low-frequency sound waves, to promote physical and emotional well-being. VAT is typically delivered through a device that produces sound waves, which are then transmitted through a surface such as a bed, chair, or mat. The individual receiving the therapy lies on or sits in close proximity to the surface and feels the vibrations as they are transmitted through their body.
VAT is believed to have a number of potential benefits, including reducing stress and anxiety, improving sleep, and promoting relaxation. It may also have some pain-relieving effects and may be helpful for individuals with certain medical conditions, such as fibromyalgia or chronic fatigue syndrome.
VAT is generally considered to be safe and may be used as a complementary therapy for a variety of conditions. However, it is important to speak with a healthcare provider before starting any new therapy, especially if you have a medical condition or are pregnant.
As a sound healing practitioner, I have had the opportunity to try out quite a few of these VAT devices and I found that InHarmony is my favorite so far. The quality of construction, the comfort and the amazing music is what really sets these apart from the rest in this category. The pictures above show their personal Mediation Cushions that can literally go anywhere and their state of the art Sound Lounge that will blast you into the SHIFT DIMENSION!!! They also have a practitioner version that is portable and goes right on top of your massage table. You can check them out here.
